Birthplace of Kobo Daishi: Zentsuji Temple

Zentsuji is the 75th place of worship on the Shikoku sacred grounds and is the birthplace of Kobo Daishi.
It is the head temple of the Zentsuji sect of Shingon Buddhism.
The five-storied pagoda is 45 meters tall and is the third tallest in Japan.

The treasure hall has important cultural properties, including the national treasure Kondo Shakujoto.

The parking lot (350 cars) is hard to find, but it is located behind the precincts (west side).
