Nunobiki Falls, located in Kumano City, Mie Prefecture, is one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls.

It is located along the Kumano Kodo "Nakahechi" and is counted as one of the Forty-eight Mt.

The drop is 53 meters and consists of 4 steps. The first step is 12 meters, the second step is 3.5 meters, the third step is 7.7 meters, and the fourth step is 29.1 meters.

The water flowing down the smooth bedrock looks like a piece of cloth hanging down, hence the name "Nunobiki Falls".

The basin of the waterfall is about 10 meters deep and surrounded by trees, creating a mystical atmosphere.

Nunobiki Falls is a popular sightseeing spot on the Kumano Kodo, and you can enjoy the scenery of each season.

From Kumano Hayatama Taisha to Kumano Hongu Taisha, run from National Route 168 to Prefectural Route 780 and further into the mountains.
It takes about an hour by car from Kumano Hayatama Taisha.
