Mitarai Valley has a walking trail approximately 8km long, with various courses available, including a two-hour course from Kawai to Dorogawa Onsen and a two-hour course from Dorogawa Onsen to Kawai.

Mitarai Valley's main attraction is its waterfalls, both large and small. Some of the most famous waterfalls include Hikari no Taki (Waterfall of Light), with a drop of approximately 10m, Otaki (Great Falls), with a drop of approximately 20m, and Mie no Taki (Mie Falls), with a drop of approximately 30m.

Mitarai Valley's clear, emerald-green streams and numerous oddly shaped and gigantic rocks create a dynamic landscape. The view of the valley from the approximately 31m-long, 21m-high suspension bridge is particularly thrilling and spectacular.

Mitarai Valley's appeal lies in its natural beauty, which changes with the seasons. Each time you visit, you'll see a different side to the mountain: sparkling new greenery in spring, beautiful river azaleas splashing against the water in summer, a gorgeous autumn landscape of autumn leaves that seem to fall from the sky from the summit, and a winter landscape painting.

The trail has an elevation difference of 200m, and there are some uneven spots and steep stairs, so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and clothing, such as sneakers.
