Founded in 1994, Hiruzen Winery was the first in Okayama Prefecture to produce wine made with wild grapes (yamabudo). Wild grapes are a variety native to Japan that is not found in Europe and are characterized by their low acidity and sweet, fruity flavor.

At Hiruzen Winery, we produce a variety of wines, utilizing techniques such as low-temperature fermentation and barrel aging to maximize the appeal of wild grapes.

Our signature wines are our 100% wild grape red wine and wild grape rosé wine.

We also sell processed products such as wild grape juice and wild grape jam.

The winery's own shop, surrounded by idyllic grasslands, offers a wide variety of bottles, mainly made with wild grapes from Hiruzen. Discover your favorites through tasting and purchase your favorite on the spot.
At the cafe "Coanier," you can relax and enjoy baked goods, light meals, and soft-serve ice cream while feeling the highland breeze (pets are allowed on the terrace). The size is perfect for a family trip or a short getaway for couples.

Some years in the fall, they hold a wild grape harvesting experience (a hands-on event), where you can learn about and experience the local brewing culture.
