This popular soba restaurant is located on the opposite bank of the Asahi River in the Katsuyama Townscape Preservation District. Its specialty is 100% buckwheat soba noodles, made with fragrant, coarsely ground, hand-made noodles.
Their signature dish is coarsely ground 100% buckwheat soba noodles, made without sifting and using domestically produced stone-ground buckwheat flour. Start with the classic zaru or grater, and enjoy the sweetness of the soba noodles, which spreads the more you chew. Their "Kamo Zaru" (duck-soba noodles), smothered in fragrant broth, is a popular favorite, with the aroma of seared duck and green onions truly stimulating. This menu closes once sold out, so it's best to visit right after opening.

To prioritize the soba's natural flavor, the flour is ground coarsely using a stone mill. Made with only water, the 100% buckwheat noodles have a firm texture and a smooth texture, while the soup has a crisp, Kansai-style flavor. They carefully select the source of the noodles depending on the season and what's available, so it's fun to enjoy the unique aroma that changes from day to day.

There's also a "Kinoeki" (wood station) facility on-site, where you can purchase rare wood and woodwork.
