Danjo Garan is a temple building built by Kobo Daishi (Kukai) as a training hall for Shingon Esoteric Buddhism.
Konpon Daito is a vermillion pagoda with a height of about 48.5 meters in the precincts of Kongobu-ji, the head temple of Koyasan Shingon sect of Buddhism.
The Konpon Daito Pagoda is a symbolic building of Mount Koya, built by Kobo Daishi Kukai as the main training hall for Shingon esoteric Buddhism. Kukai called the Konpon Daito Pagoda the "Vairocana Hokkai Taisei Tower," and preached that it is a miniature version of the universe that embodies the truth of Dainichi Nyorai.

[Trivia]
The Konpon Daito Pagoda is said to be the place where Kobo Daishi Kukai built the first pagoda in Japan. Inside the pagoda, the walls and pillars are decorated with vividly colored Buddhist paintings, and together with the golden Buddha statues, it truly creates a mandala world of esoteric Buddhism.

[Hidden gem]
Important buildings such as the Kondo and Goei-do Hall are adjacent to the Konpon Daito Pagoda, but the Fudo Hall, which is located relatively secluded, is an important cultural property, but there are few people around, making it a place where you can quietly feel its history.

There are also many other sights in the area, such as the Daimon Gate at the entrance to National Route 480, Kongo Sammai-in Temple behind Koyasan University, and the Tokugawa Family Mausoleum to the north of Kongobu-ji Temple.
