This is the Meishin Expressway service area in Otsu City.

There are many popular shops and souvenirs such as Takara Bokujo's soft-serve ice cream on the SA down side and Hourai's meat buns on the up side.

There are also McDonald's and Thirty One Ice Cream on the outbound SA.

In addition, you can overlook Lake Biwa and Mt. Hiei from the observation deck on the 3rd floor.
