Nanzoin is a temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect located in Sasaguri Town, Fukuoka Prefecture.
A bronze statue of Shakyamuni Buddha with a total length of 41m, a height of 11m, and a weight of 300 tons is enshrined in the precincts of Nanzoin. This was erected in 1995 and is known as the world's largest statue of Shakyamuni Buddha.

There is also a famous story about Nanzo-in Chief Priest Hayashi winning the first or second prize of 130 million yen in the Jumbo Lottery.
