Manshu-in is a Buddhist temple of the Tendai sect located at the western foot of Mt. Hiei.
Many valuable historical relics remain, such as a dry landscape garden that is a national scenic spot, a building that is an important cultural property, and a Buddhist statue that is a national treasure.
