Osaka Tenmangu Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Tenjinbashi, Kita Ward, Osaka City.
There is a Daishogun Shrine that Kanko visited before heading to Dazaifu.
It was founded in the first year of Hakuji (650) during the Nara period, when Emperor Kotoku built Nambagara Toyosakigu Shrine, and Taishogun Shrine was built as a deity to protect the northwestern part of the capital.

The main enshrined deity is Sugawara no Michizane, known as the god of learning. Tenmangu Shrine is also famous as one of the three major festivals in Japan and one of the three major summer festivals in Osaka called "Tenjin Matsuri".

Osaka Tenmangu Shrine is said not only to be the god of learning, but also to bring blessings such as business prosperity, warding off evil spirits, and matchmaking.
