Gaya-in is a temple of the Honzan Shugen sect located in Otani, Shisen-cho, Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
Gaya-in Temple is a mysterious temple that Hodo Sennin built during the Taika era (around the 7th century) with the help of Bishamonten's eyelashes. The main hall, the Tahoto pagoda, the main hall of Misaka Myojin Shrine, and the wooden standing statue of Bishamonten are all nationally important cultural properties.

Gaya-in Temple was destroyed by fire when Hideyoshi attacked Miki Castle during the Sengoku period, but was rebuilt in the early Edo period.
