It is a spectacular sight with 1200 huge azalea trees that are more than 5 meters tall and are said to be 300 years old.

It is located in the depression of the ridge between Mt. Takakoshi (1,133 m above sea level) and Mt. Okunono (1,159 m above sea level).
It takes about 15 minutes on foot from the parking lot.
The best time to see the flowers is usually from mid to late May.
However, the road is narrow and crowded with many people during the peak viewing season, so the car may be full during the day. Early morning is recommended.
