Genbudo is a basalt cave designated as a national natural monument located in Akaishi, Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture.
The inside of Genbudo Cave is about 150m long, with a maximum height of 15m and width of 10m.

Inside the cave, you can see a tortoiseshell-shaped ceiling and 5- to 8-sided stone pillars, and their mysterious beauty attracts many people.

There is also a Genbudo Museum, and there is a dinosaur fossil zone.

Located on the way to Kinosaki Onsen, this is a cave that was dug into the wall of a huge strangely shaped rock to mine basalt.
It's about 10 minutes by car from Kinosaki Onsen, so when you go to Kinosaki Onsen, it's a scenic spot you'll definitely want to stop by.
