It is a shrine in Akikuni Ninomiya following Itsukushima Shrine in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.

It has a history of 1800 years, and during the Heian period, it was said to have been the highest deity among the eight provinces of Sanyo-do.

It is famous nationwide as a shrine for traffic safety prayers, and is known as the guardian deity of traffic safety, and many people clean their cars.
