Arato Castle is known as one of the representative mountain castles of the Sengoku period due to its strategic location and the form of a mountain castle built in a rengu style.

Currently, it is maintained as the Chikuma City Shiroyama Historical Park, where you can see the remains of the main enclosure, second enclosure, turret, and other structures.

Although it has been restored, it is not a castle with a castle tower, but rather a simple mountain castle that conveys the atmosphere of the time.
