This is a Japanese castle located in Toyama City.
The castle tower is a mock castle tower and has been turned into a museum.

During the Edo period, it was used as the domain office of the Toyama domain. In the Meiji period, Toyama Castle was abandoned and its stone walls and castle tower were demolished.

Toyama Castle was rebuilt in 1953 and is currently used as the Toyama City Folk Museum. From the castle tower, you can see a panoramic view of Toyama city.

Although it has not been selected as one of Japan's 100 Famous Castles, it was selected as one of Japan's 100 Famous Castles (numbers 101 to 200) in 2017.

Takaoka Castle in Toyama Prefecture has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 castles.
