Located in Yubiso, Minakami-machi, Tone-gun, Gunma Prefecture, Doai Station has 462 steps with a height difference of 81m between the ascending and descending platforms due to double-tracking. For this reason, it is called "Japan's No. 1 Mole Station."
The station is basically an unmanned station. It seems that there was a plan to make an elevator, but it seems that it will not be possible to make it in the future.

Doai Station is used as one of the trailheads for Mt. Tanigawa and is bustling with climbers. In recent years, it has also become popular with train fans and tourists due to its unique atmosphere.
