It is believed that longevity is blessed, and this temple is located at an altitude of 250m on the side of Lake Biwa.

Founded in 619 A.D., it is the 31st temple of the 33 temples in Saigoku, and has a long history related to Prince Shotoku.

There are 800 steps of stairs. There is a parking lot on top of the mountain, and it is about 100 steps from there.
