Aseizan Chojuji Temple is located in Toji Temple, Konan City, Shiga Prefecture, and is a temple whose main hall is a national treasure and is one of the three Konan Sanzan temples.
Chojuji Temple is said to have been founded by Ryoben at the request of Emperor Shomu in the late Nara period.

During the Tensho period, Oda Nobunaga moved the three-storied pagoda to his residence, Azuchi Castle, and the tower gate to Rendai-ji Temple in Ritto City, losing the main buildings.

Currently, the main hall, which is a national treasure, the Bentendo Hall, which is an important cultural property, and the Joroku Amitabha Seated Statue, Shakyamuni Nyorai Seated Statue, and Amida Nyorai Seated Statue, which are also important cultural properties, remain.
