This roadside station is located along Prefectural Route 30 in Mito-cho, Mine City. It is very close to the Ota IC on the Ogori Hagi Road (free section).

The copper of the Great Buddha of Nara is said to have been mined from a copper mine in this area.

The specialty product is burdock, and there are many burdock products such as burdock croquettes and burdock rice crackers.

Akiyoshido and Akiyoshidai are also easily accessible with a 15-minute drive.
