Bansho Otaki Waterfall

Bansho Otaki is a waterfall in the vicinity of Mt. Norikura in Azumi, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.

Although it is not one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls, it is a spectacular waterfall with a height of 40m and a width of 11m.
It was formed when the Koono River carved out the lava plateau of Mt. Norikura, and is one of Norikura Plateau's representative tourist spots.

From the parking lot, go down some steep stairs.
