Nishi-Shiiya Falls is located upstream of the Ekidate River and is surrounded by the rich nature of Oku-Yabakei. There are walking trails around the waterfall where you can enjoy nature in all four seasons.

There is an observation deck, but it is not well maintained, probably because there are few tourists. The nearby observation deck is about 100 meters from the parking lot. You can get a closer view of the waterfall from the second observation deck, but you'll need to wear proper shoes as you'll have to go down a steep path.
