Located in the Kikuchi Valley upstream of the Kikuchi River in Kumamoto Prefecture, this waterfall has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls.

This is a waterfall where water gushes from the Kikuchi water source, which is the source of the Kikuchi River, and falls from a height of about 20 meters. The drop is not very large, about 10 meters, but the amount of water is abundant and it is quite impressive.

The valley has a promenade, and there are many waterfalls such as Kakemaku Falls, Reimei Falls, Momijigase, Ryugafuchi, Tengu Falls, and Shijuman Falls.
