Amaniwato Shrine is a shrine located in Takachiho, Miyazaki Prefecture, and is the setting for the Amaniwato myth.
The cave where Amaterasu Omikami hid in Amanoiwato is enshrined as an object of worship.

Amaniwato Shrine has two main shrines, the Nishi-hongu and the Higashi-hongu. Nishimoto Shrine is located at the entrance of a cave and is said to be the place where Amaterasu Omikami hid in Amanoiwato. Higashihongu is located deep inside a cave and is said to be the place where Amaterasu Omikami came out after going into hiding.

Amaniwato Shrine is said to bring blessings such as matchmaking, marital harmony, safe childbirth, entertainment, and academic studies.
